Objective: To explore the temperament traits of 1~4 month infants and the relationship between infant’ s temperament traits and home environment. Methods: 384 normal infants of 1~4 month were sampled, they were assessed by Early Infancy Temperament Questionnaire. Results: ①Boys were more approachable, higher threshold of response, less intense than girls in 1~4 month infants. ②There were relationship between temperament traits of 1~4 month infants and parents’ age, education, and mothers’ mood during pregnancy, but no relationship were found with economic state. Con - clusion: Some of the temperament traits showed significant sex differences in 1~4 month infants, and were related to some factors of home environment.
