Objective:To investigate which behavioral tendency was reflected by the results of an infant's behavior rating scale and the relationship between infant's tested behaviors and intellectual and motorial abilities.Methods:227 subjects, which include 130 male and 97 female ranging from 6 months to 12 months old, were assessed with the BSID and the infant's behavior rating scale. The data was analyzed with statistical methods including factor, variance and correlation analysis. Results:Six factors including goal-orientation, arousal behavior, negative emotion, positive emotion, reactivity and activity were extracted which accounted for 65.43% of variation. There was obvious correlation between MDI and goal-orientation, arousal behavior, positive emotion, reactivity, so was correlation between PDI and goal-orientation, positive emotion, reactivity. Conclusion:The infant's tested behavior significantly correlates with intellectual and motorial development.
