Objective: To explore personality and quality of life in cured patients with leprosy. Methods: 51 cured leprosy inpatients and 104 cured patients or 59 normal controls in community were investigated by quality of life questionnaire and EPQ. Results: The general scores (51.83±9.64)of life quality in cured leprosy inpatients were lower than that in community patients(63.40±10.84) and normal controls(66.25±11.16), with significant difference(F =28.45; P<0.01). Among three groups, there were significant difference in scores of body's function, psychological and social function(P<0.01). The scores of EPQ-E in inpatients(7.71±4.43) were lower than that in community patients(9.58±4.29) and normal controls(11.46±3.98), and the scores of EPQ-N in inpatients(8.94±4.68) were higher than that in community patients(6.18±4.88) and normal controls(6.32±5.16), with significant difference(F =10.75~5.91, P<0.01).Quality of life in cured patients with leprosy have significant positive correlation with EPQ-E(r =0.21~0.44, P<0.01),and have significant negative correlation with EPQ-N(r =-0.24-0.65, P<0.01). Conclusion: Life quality in cured patients with leprosy were worse than that in community patients and normal controls, personality was high correlation with life quality.
