积极的身体意象对儿童身心健康和人格发展有着良好的影响。以往研究发现大量儿童持有消极的身体意象。儿童消极身体意象的影响因素主要有个体因素、人际压力以及大众传媒和文化期望。个体因素包括生理特征、疾病以及缺少体育活动;人际压力因素则包括同伴嘲笑、与容貌相关的社会比较以及父母影响和不良家庭关系;大众传媒和文化期望提供的理想身体信息也容易成为儿童身体意象的威胁事件。未来有必要进一步加大干预研究的力度,从认知、情感和行为等三个层面对儿童消极身体意象进行干预。
