Objective To explore the relationship between telligence and epilepsy of children .Methods Thirty-nine children with epilepsy and 20 normal control were evaluated with C-WISC.Results The IQ of some children with epilepsy was in borderline or defect range.There was no significant difference between children with epilepsy and normal control on the VIQ-PIQ balance (P＞0.05).Conclusion The IQ of children with epilepsy is lower than that of normal children .The epilepsy could impact the intelligence of children.
