Objective: To investigate the characteristics and influencing factors of irrational beliefs of depressive disorders. Methods: Irrational Beliefs Scale was adopted to assess 50 cases of depressive disorder patients and 50 cases of normal controls respectively; Self-rating Depressive Disorders Scale and EPQ were adopted to assess depressive disorder patients. Results: ① Compared with the controls, the levels of IBS of the patients were obviously higher, frustration tolerance lower, general comments and total score were significantly different statistically(P<0.05); ②The level of irrational beliefs of women was significantly higher than men. Different gender had significant difference (P<0.05) in the Low Frustration Tolerance scores (P<0.05); ③There was significant correlation between non-rational beliefs and personality traits (P<0.05). Conclusion: There is prevalence of irrational beliefs with certain stability in trait in depressive patients; and there is certain correlation between non-rational beliefs and personality traits.
